The cadet section is open to children aged 10 and over. The Cadets are supervised by fully qualified RYA Instructors.  

Cadets meet on Wednesday evenings during the sailing season between 6:30pm - 8:00pm and for special events and courses during the school holidays. 

The Club hosts and takes part in Championship events at other local clubs and all cadets who are competent can participate. The Cadet Section has access to a range of dinghies including Toppers, RS Feva's, RS Visions and Albacores.  These boats are available for individual cadets or pairs to sail in organised club events and on cadet nights.  

During officially approved activities, cadets are the responsibility of the club, at all other times, whether on or off the water, they are the responsibility of their parents/ guardians. 

The Club operates a Child Protection Policy and follows the guidelines laid down by the Royal Yachting Association.
